Digital Nails: Convergent (It's Awesome)

Swatch & Review

Hello, Princesses!  Today I'm sharing an absolutely gorgeous indie creation - Convergent by Digital Nails.  This polish is also extra-special because it was the first manicure I got to do after giving birth to my daughter (she was almost 2 weeks old!), and it felt so great to do my nails again.  The only bad thing about this polish... it's so beautiful and color-shifty that I spent almost an hour trying to choose which pictures to share.  I got it down to 12.

September 2013 Hauls

September.  Month of Multichrome Madness.  And Also a Baby!

Of course you know that on the 15th my daughter Freya was born, so here's a quick rundown of the other little pretties I picked up this month...

I couldn't resist preordering the new I Love Nail Polish brand multichromes.  (Website here.)  Left to right they are Cygnus Loop, My Little Glacier, Birefringence, and Mutagen.  These look pretty awesome, can't wait to try them myself.  =)

I did a bit of blog sale shopping for the L'oréal jelly polishes Bananarama Love, Creme de Mint, and Bubble Trouble.  I also snagged the discontinued glitters Ozotic 528 and 530.  These five bottles all came from Jacki at Adventures in Acetone.

Then I placed a very exciting Digital Nails (on Etsy!) order.  I bought Convergent, along with the Starship trio!  Serenity, Galactica, and Leviathan.  Sadly these multichrome glitters are suffering the same end as their Ozotic cousins above... once they're gone, they're gone.

So, definitely on a bit of a multichrome kick.  But that's okay, the grey days of fall are a perfect time for appreciating these color-shifting gems.  Of course, I probably won't be paying too much attention to my nails until my little girl can go more than 3 hours without eating.  ;P

Holographic Nail Polish Topcoat Comparison

Hi everyone!  I have a sparkly post for today.  A comparison of Glitter Gal #707 Silver 3D Holo (or "Turbulence", as it is now known), Digital Nails Spectraflair Holographic Topcoat, and Hits Hefesto.  I have several pictures and will also compare the polishes in these aspects:
  • Price/value
  • Strength
  • Color clarity
  • Brush & Bottle
  • Formula
   Here we go!

My ring finger is modelling Glitter Gal Turbulence, middle finger wears Digital Nails Spectraflair Holographic Topcoat, and index is sitting pretty in Hits Hefesto.  Each polish is shown at one coat.  All have China Glaze Stone Cold as the black polish beneath, and my photos have been taken in sunlight.

Swatch & Review: Digital Nails polishes - Rainbow Dash & Spectraflair Holographic Topcoat

Today I'm happy to share my haul from Digital Nails.  I got these polishes last month and have had a lot of fun with them already!

I purchased these for myself: Rainbow Dash, Spectraflair Topcoat (x2), and the mini was sent along for free.  Before I get into the polishes swatches let me talk about buying from Digital Nails on etsy, which is run by a girl named Raphaelle.

August 2012 Hauls

Here's a fun post!  It could also be titled "When ShopRunner Shipping Goes Crazy", or "How I Ended Up With Enough Hair Stuff For Five Women", but those are too long and I'm trying something new.  Instead of posting little hauls here and there (which can end up being often and make it look like I manage a "lookie what I bought todaayyy!!" blog - ugh), I'm going to group them together at the end of each month.  I'm hoping that this will also make me realize just how much stuff I'm buying per month, and notice where my money is going.  Instead of it being a nail polish here, a new hair clip there... I want to fully realize how much stuff I'm acquiring so I know when to reign it in.

This month it's a lot of stuff!  =D

Oh, but there are other good reasons, too.  I plan on linking from my haul posts to any reviews or swatch posts I may have done for the items.  (Sadly that didn't happen this month... I was very sick with a cold.)  Or, if the item hasn't been featured on the blog already, readers can tell me what they want to see most and I can try to accommodate by posting about those things first.  =)

So let's get started!  Follow the cut for more pictures and tales of wild Online shopping adventure!
