I♥NP: Bottle Service and Pt 78

Swatch & Review

I paired two of the newest I Love Nail Polish holographic polishes together to test them out.  Here are my thoughts on Bottle Service and Pt 78.  I wore this manicure back in November, and by some miracle the clouds parted that Monday afternoon and I was able to get a few quick sunlight pictures...

2 coats each, in sunlight, no topcoat
Bottle Service

What I would call a dirty champagne color, this polish has a unique finish and decent holo effect.  I used 2 coats, but for my long nails this color will be a 3-coater, because it was sheer when my nails had light behind them.  The metallic look was subtle enough for this polish not to have brushstroke issues, which I thought was great.

  • Finish & Coverage:  Metallic holographic, fairly sheer.
  • Dries:  Pretty quick... to a satin sheen.
  • Formula & Application:  This has an easy formula, I didn't have issues with bald patches.
  • Wear:  Can't remember how long it was on, but I was impressed!  Didn't use a topcoat and only had tipwear.
  • Removal:  Easy-peasy.
  • Bottle & Brush:  Grippy cap with a flat brush and good bottle, too!
  • Perfect For:  A subdued-but-glitzy look.  Office wear, formal events...  Princesses who adore neutral colors and soft rainbow effects.
  • Overall:  Another winner from I♥NP, in my opinion!

Pt 78

This is a blue-toned slate color... kind of.  It's hard to describe, and reminded me of a denim-type hue.  I was expecting it to be more grey.  The linear holographic effect is much more muted in this polish.

  • Finish & Coverage:  Metallic holographic-ish, quite opaque.
  • Dries:  Quickly, to a satin sheen.
  • Formula & Application:  Easy-to-use and apply!
  • Wear:  Can't remember how long it was on, but I was impressed!  Didn't use a topcoat and only had tipwear.
  • Removal:  Easy-peasy.
  • Bottle & Brush:  Grippy cap with a flat brush and good bottle, too!
  • Perfect For:  Ladies who enjoy dusty blue colors, Autumn, and Winter.
  • Overall:  This just wasn't my color, I didn't personally enjoy wearing it.  It is easy to apply, but be disappointed if you're wanting it for the holographic effect - even in direct sunlight it isn't strong at all.
  • Where to Buy:  Both of those polishes can be found on www.ILPN.com!
