Pretty, Easy: Love and KISSES Manicure

Nail Art / Tutorial

This is a nail art look that immediately came to mind when I opened my last Influenster VoxBox and saw the bag of cutely colored Hershey's KISSES candy.  So, I've created a pictorial explaining how you can create this look, and I'm sure you'll want to check it out.  This may be one of the only nail art looks that requires you to eat chocolate as the first step!

If you have any questions leave a comment below and I'll do my best to answer them!  The polish I choose to use was Nyx Girls Dark Beige, as it was closest in my collection to the color of Hershey's milk chocolate, and the coverage and formula is very good.  (I only needed 2 coats!)  KISSES wrappers change colors with the seasons and which flavor you buy, so you can truly have an endless variety of little foil hearts for nail art.

I also took this manicure a step further by polishing underneath my nails with L.A. Girl Pink Steel.  It is a pink foil color that really set the whole look off, but isn't vital to the manicure so I didn't bother including it in my tutorial.

These are some of my favorite nails to date!  I was especially pleased that the pink foil color didn't leech out into my topcoat; all the hearts stayed colorfast until it came time to remove the manicure.  Also, the little crinkles in the foil hide the fact that you folded the foil in half to easily make heart shapes!  I will say that the foil shapes will want to stick onto your nails worse than any glitter polish does.  I found it best to peel them off with tweezers during the removal process, then the rest of your polish should wipe away easily!

Hershey's didn't prompt us reviewers to do anything like this, but my Google searching didn't turn up anything similar, which surprised me.  If you decide to try this look I'd love to see what you make!  Please tag me or leave a comment here so I can check out your work! I'm sure Hershey's would love for you to use the #LoveandKISSES hashtag so they can see your nail art, too!

  1. That looks like such a beautiful manicure! I love the colour combination and your creativity. The added Louboutin effect looks great as well.
