Tonight I'm sharing a great product from my J'adore VoxBox from Influenster. I was really excited to get this product to test, in a full-size bottle, no less! I really enjoy doing face masks but I don't use them often enough. Read on to see what I think of the Boots Ionic Clay Mask and how I fit this mask into my schedule! Oh, and did I mention I'll have a coupon code to share with you?
First off, here is some information straight from the product page:
Our skin can often become congested with many cleansing masks over drying the face. This mineral rich oceanic clay mask contains a negative electrical charge which acts like a magnet helping to draw deep-rooted impurities out of the skin without drying. Its hydrating and oil absorbing properties leave skin soft, smooth and wonderfully cleansed.
How to Use
Shake well before use. Apply to cleansed skin and leave to dry for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
Sea Silt (Natural Oceanic Clay), Water, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract
Let me say that I adore natural skin care products and looking at that short, simple list of ingredients makes me pleased to no end. (Also, those are the ingredients taken from my bottle; the list on their website seems to be a bit off as of this writing!) I recognized willow bark right off the bat because that is a main acne-fighter in the Burt's Bees products that I use every day, and I was happy to see it because I know that it works for me!
Oh yes, I have oily skin. But I also have to watch for over-drying products, because my skin works overtime to replenish those oils if they get stripped away entirely. So, this product is a perfect fit for me!
This is a close-up of the product, and you can see that it really is good old sea silt in water. You definitely have to shake your bottle before use, otherwise you get runny water everywhere and a fairly solid glob of the clay. I thorough shake mixes it up into an easy-to-spread liquidy paste. It dries pretty fast on your skin, and has a slightly cooling effect, but there aren't any ingredients that cause a tingling sensation. (Tingling masks are good in my opinion, but I know some people can't stand that. This should be gentle enough for anyone to use.)
It dries pretty fast and is easy to remove with just a washcloth and water. (You should definitely make some funny crinkly faces before removal, though. That's half the fun of facial masks.) It left my skin feeling velvety and I really have had less shine for the rest of the day when I use it! I know I'm definitely going to use the rest of this bottle and I will buy another bottle when I run out because it's not expensive at all!

Thanks for reading my review! My secret to fitting a luxurious facial mask into my busy day is to put it on 10 minutes before my shower!
