Swatch & Review: Nyx Girls - Kinky Pink & Enchanted Forest

I've been a very busy person this week!  Haven't gotten to do the mani that has been bouncing around in my head, so instead I slapped some of the new-to-me Nyx Girls polishes onto my nails before running off to work.  I couldn't help but want to see what the glowing pink was like on my nails, and when someone requested to swatching of Enchanted Forest ASAP I couldn't help putting these together.

Kinky Pink is so intense that the camera was freaking out at it a little.  The color can be likened to a neon, highlighter pink.  It is a jelly polish and I put 3 coats on - still not entirely opaque but it has very even coverage, no weird brushstrokes showing.  It is also loaded with glass-flake type shimmer, white that leans blue.  Finally a bright pink polish that looks good on my pale skin!

These pictures do a nice job of showing how bright Kinky Pink is.

Enchanted Forest is a very pretty bottle of polish.  It has reflective green small round glitter, average sized hex glitter, and GIANT hex glitter, all floating in a clear base.  The glitter is a kiwi green but shines blue, yellow, orange and red in the light.  It dries quickly and has a satin finish.  Photos here were done without top coat.  You should definitely use a top coat to protect and seal the large glitter.

The glitter is actually quite sparse in the polish - this is about two coats.  I imagine that with continued use the glitter may become more dense in the polish.  Personally I do like it's coverage, though.  It is like having sprinkles on my nails!  And it definitely has the largest hex glitter I've ever seen in a polish.

The Nyx Girls polish line continues to impress me with the easy-to-apply formula, fairly quick drying times and exceptional durability.  Also loving that Nyx is a cruelty-free brand and super affordable.  I recommend both these colors!

  4. Thanks! They are both so bright, wonderful complimentary colors since they're at opposite ends of the spectrum... or opposite sides of the wheel. Whichever. =)
